Preview: “Xenophagia”
Simply phenomenal
death metal that sounds like sort of a fusion of The Black Dahlia Murder,
Scorned Deity, and ESPECIALLY Fallujah.
Blisteringly intense blast beats, sledgehammer-heavy breaks, and a
veritable cornucopia of “Harvest Wombs”-era Fallujah-esque riffs…and that’s
just to get your ears interested. Buried
beneath the shred, the soaring solos, the brutal breakdowns, and the variegated
vokills, the listener will find a deeply disturbed – almost black metal –
morose, barely-concealed evil lurking.
Every time I listen to this EP I’m finding something new, and I’m sure
you will too. Fans of death metal
rejoice! Spend the $5 it costs to purchase
Boreworm’s “Black Path” EP – they’re trying to fund a new full length, so it’s
MORE than worth it!
