Love it when bands know how to incorporate orchestral elements without being an orchestral band, and still be able to pull it off. The last Fleshgod album managed to be mostly an orchestral death metal album, which sort of disappointed me, but these guys definitely succeed where Fleshgod failed. Not saying The Seer is as good as Fleshgod (who are establishing themselves as the standard-setters in this particular genre), because they’re not, but this is definitely some well-written symphonic death metal with core-ish sounding parts, so give it a listen!
